The Appellant was charged with and convicted by the High
Court of the murder of Mohamed Athumani Lyoko. He appealed to the Court of
Appeal arguing that the circumstantial evidence on which the conviction was
based was not reliable. He also argued that the prosecution did not prove
motive for the killing.
