The Appellant was charged with and convicted of rape. He was
sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment. Aggrieved by that decision he appealed to
the High Court where he challenged the decision of the trial court on the
ground of poor identification which took place in a Police lock up. He also
lamented that the trial court did not consider his defence testimony.
