The Appellant was charged,
convicted and sentenced to death penalty contrary to section 196 of the Penal
Code [Cap 16 R.E. 2002] by the High Court. Aggrieved with the decision, he
preferred this appeal to this Court. The Appellant did not refute the killing
of his mother in law. His defence oscillated between the claim that he was not
in his senses, and sometimes, he gave the opposite claim that he knew what he
did.
