The Appellant was charged with and convicted of murder by
the High Court. In convicting the Appellant, the High Court relied on
circumstantial evidence. Dissatisfied by the decision of the High Court the
Appellant appealed to the Court of Appeal of Tanzania. On appeal the Appellant
attacked the decision of the High Court on the grounds, inter alia, that
cause of death was not established and that the Court relied on circumstantial
evidence. The Court considered the grounds raised by the Appellant.
