The Appellant was convicted by Iringa District Court for armed robbery. He appealed to the High Court on two grounds, first, his identity was not satisfactorily established, and secondly, that he had been convicted on strength of hearsay evidence. The Court sustained the conviction and dismissed the appeal, and hence, this second appeal to the Court of Appeal. The Court of Appeal considered the grounds of appeal raised.
