This appeal originates from the decision of the High Court,
whereby, the Appellant together with other two accused persons were charged
with the offence of trafficking in narcotic drugs. At the end of the day after
the learned trial Judge, who was being assisted by gentlemen assessors had
evaluated the evidence placed before them, were of the considered view that,
the case had been established to hilt against the Appellant who happened to be
the second accused only. He was therefore convicted as charged and sentenced to
the mandatory term of life imprisonment. The other accused persons were
acquitted. Dissatisfied he filed this appeal.
